Who We Are
The University of Alaska Anchorage Alumni Association is a 501c3 nonprofit organization working toward our mission to Connect, Advocate and Support the University of Alaska Anchorage. While we are a separate entity operating independently of UAA, we are affiliated and work closely with the University and its alumni relations department to achieve our mission.
The UAA Alumni Association is led by a 12-member board of directors, which is comprised of a diverse and dedicated group of UAA graduates who volunteer their time and talents to help lead the Association.
What We Do
While there are many facets to the Association’s efforts, our main focus is to Connect, Advocate and Support the University of Alaska Anchorage.
Connect: Through our alumni events, the Association supports students, provides networking opportunities, builds tradition, and garners community and legislative support. Noteworthy events include the Green & Gold Gala, Commencement activities, Campus Kick-Off, and scholarship awards ceremony.
Advocate: Our legislative advocacy committee works closely throughout the year with the University, the Board of Regents and key legislators to keep the Legislature informed about important alumni and University priorities.
Support: UAA Alumni Association and our individual members show support of the University through generous volunteer hours and financial contributions. In addition, we support the University’s educational mission by awarding annual scholarships to UAA students.
